The DIALCAT project is a collaborative project of industrial research, experimental development and innovation in the Community RIS3CAT “TEC-SALUT”, managed by ACCIÓ and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

The project is based on epidemiological data confirming that patients with diabetes have 2 to 3 times higher prevalence of severe cognitive impairment and Alzheimer’s disease than non-diabetic population comparable in age. To address this reality, the project proposes a comprehensive approach ranging from basic to clinical observational research, and it includes a pilot intervention study.

Anaxomics will implement its Systems Biology-based technology to integrate clinical, genotypes and serum biomarker to develop a risk score of the population with diabetes type 2 and mild cognitive impairment.
